Narration and scene plan

Words determine the timing.

  1. Fold at the desk

One summer night, Asha folded a silver page into a tiny boat and whispered, Find someone who needs light.

Motion: Hand and boat enter from below
  2. Enter the paper river

A paper river opened beneath the moon. Asha stepped aboard, and her little boat sailed into the silver beam.

Motion: Three water layers drift at different speeds
  3. Travel through layered rooftops

Blue waves carried her beyond sleeping rooftops. Ahead, a small star flickered where moonlight could not reach.

    Motion: Camera pushes through roofs
  4. Find the missing reflection

Asha freed the star from paper clouds. It trembled warmly in her hands as the dark water grew still.

Motion: Moon layer turns and rises
  5. Release the lantern

She lifted the star skyward. Its glow joined the others, drawing a bright path home across the water.

Motion: Lantern scales and floats upward
  6. Return to the notebook

By morning, the boat rested on her desk. A tiny star now shone beside Asha's name on the silver page.

Motion: Page turn closes the loop
Production frames

A finite set of source images becomes the film.

Motion is created by repeatable page, drawing, layer, and camera instructions. Source images stay stable between rerenders. These paper-theater plates are wide stage artwork; the camera and layers travel inside them to fill the 9:16 frame.
